<aside> 🔨 Project Pods is a program created by Project W, an organization comprised of women from Babson, Olin, and Wellesley College interested in entrepreneurship and innovation with a mission to foster interdisciplinary collaboration between the three schools.
Project Pods is a semester-long incubator dedicated to helping pods of 3–5 BOW (Babson-Olin-Wellesley) women take their idea to the prototype stage. Utilizing the Design Thinking methodology and the Lean Startup framework with guidance from experienced mentors and professors, Project Pods participants spend 15 weeks researching, validating, and iterating potential solutions to identified problems.
Our programming strives to provide tangible skills and relevant resources for college students. By the end of the program, students will develop a Minimum Viable Product and will be familiar with fundamental startup concepts and skills such as product-market fit, product design, user research, pitching, iteration, and more.

<aside> 🙌 Based on many surveys and interviews, we’ve noticed that many college women express that they want to get involved in entrepreneurship, but they don’t know where to start. Currently, there are few early-stage incubator programs at the college level, especially geared towards women.
In a survey of over 100 college women from Babson, Olin, and Wellesley, we found that while only 17.4% were working on their own venture, 80% said that they wanted to turn their ideas into a business.
